Fatty, protein-rich foods slow the absorption of alcohol into the bloodstream, granting your body time to process the byproducts that cause hangovers. Carbohydrates, on the other hand, are actually processed more rapidly in the body and therefore less beneficial.
If you’re out all night drinking, bring an ounce of hard cheese as your wingman. Aged cheeses are high in fat, shelf stable, and ladies love them!
